The American Dental Association recommends that children see a dentist by age one. If you notice problems in your child’s oral health or development, please make an appointment immediately, regardless of the child’s age. At one year, a child can accompany a parent to a scheduled adult checkup. This will acclimate the child to the sights and sounds – and friendly faces – at the dentist’s office. By age two, children should see Dr. Danner for regular checkups. By age three to five, children’s primary teeth are in and they can sit still long enough for a cleaning.
