FAQs

Is gingivitis anything to be concerned about?

Yes! Recent studies show a link between gum disease and overall health – and about 80% of Americans have some form of gum disease. Left untreated, gingivitis can turn into serious periodontitis, the leading cause of tooth loss for adults in the US. Furthermore, gum disease causes bad breath, gum and bone recession, and pain, bleeding, and swelling of sensitive gum tissue. Stroke, heart disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, low-weight births, and diabetes complications have been linked to gum disease. In the earliest stage, you may notice no symptoms. Dr. Danner and our hygiene team will evaluate your gums at every dental checkup. If you show signs of gum disease, we will recommend appropriate treatment. Our soft tissue laser can vaporize the bad bacteria that flourish in the mouth and destroy optimal oral health. Call today for your checkup or cleaning, and we’ll assess your soft oral tissues for any sign of disease or infection.

Will Dr. Danner care for my children? My parents?

Absolutely. As a true family practice, Dr. Danner and our team would be honored to provide dental care to all of your loved ones. We offer age-appropriate services for children, as well as senior citizens.

When should children start visiting the dentist?

The American Dental Association recommends that children see a dentist by age one. If you notice problems in your child’s oral health or development, please make an appointment immediately, regardless of the child’s age. At one year, a child can accompany a parent to a scheduled adult checkup. This will acclimate the child to the sights and sounds – and friendly faces – at the dentist’s office. By age two, children should see Dr. Danner for regular checkups. By age three to five, children’s primary teeth are in and they can sit still long enough for a cleaning. If you have questions or would like to introduce your child to our office, just give us a call.

What insurance companies do you work with?

Dr. Danner is in network with Delta Dental of Oklahoma (Premier Plan), BCBS, and Health Choice. However, we will gladly file out-of-network insurance claims as a courtesy to our valued patients. Please prepare to pay your copay or deductible at your visit.

What payment methods do you accept?
